All my life I have loved the beach and the water.
My birthday is the 4th of July so I have spent every single birthday celebrating at the beach first in Korea, then at OBX, Ocean City, Dewey, Rehoboth or on a lake in Wisconson and Virginia or the river in Annapolis... there was always water.

I was blessed enough back in the 80's (PS - best decade ever) to live in Hawaii, thanks to my Dad. (He is the one who shared his love of the beach and water and water sports with me) And now I am blessed enough to have a home in Rehoboth Beach.

I have a degree in Graphic Design, spent years working at Sundog doing t-shirt designs for everyone from the Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, Universal, Disney and local schools and organizations - BUT my favorite shirt designs have ALWAYS been the ones found in surf shops.

I'm OBSESSED with surf shops and all the amazing designs found there.

I loved the way the shirts I bought made me feel when I wore them later. They brought the feeling of being at the beach into my every day life.

THAT IS EXACTLY what I want all the products from Sunshine and Saltwater to do - Bring the beach into your everyday life - your wardrobe, your home, your car, your waterbottle... your life. So even when you aren't sitting at a beach or your favorite tiki dive bar or in a local surf shop - you can feel like you are there!!

For those of you who love the beach as much as I do - my hope is I can bring a little bit of the beach vibe to you with every one of my products.

• Monthly Donations: A portion of our proceeds is dedicated to supporting the Surfrider Foundation's vital mission.
• Volunteer Efforts: Whenever possible, our team dedicates time to hands-on activities with the Surfrider Foundation, making a tangible impact on beach conservation.
• Social Advocacy: We use our platforms to spread awareness about the Surfrider Foundation's crucial work, encouraging others to join the cause.
• Hands-On Cleanup: We take personal responsibility, often hitting the beaches ourselves to pick up trash, doing our part to keep our oceans clean and safe.

Together, we're making waves for a cleaner, healthier shoreline.

• Limited Production Runs: We produce our items in small, carefully planned batches to ensure that each piece finds a home without excess waste.
• Vintage and Gently Used Collection: Our Second Wave Thrift initiative offers a curated selection of pre-loved surf and beach attire, giving these items a second chance and reducing the demand for new production.
• Quality Materials: We prioritize durable, long-lasting materials, ensuring our products withstand the test of time and reduce the need for frequent replacements.
• Recyclable Packaging: We use eco-friendly packaging materials that are both recyclable and made from sustainable sources.
• Supporting Local Artists: By collaborating with local artists, we not only celebrate their talent but also minimize the environmental impact associated with large-scale production and shipping.

Together, these efforts contribute to a more sustainable and environmentally-conscious approach to fashion.

Shipping rates are calculated in the US for orders under $65. Orders over $65 ship for free in the US. International shipping rates will be calculated.

All of our products are printed to order, meaning we don’t keep an inventory of our product. Typically it will take about 2 business days or less for orders to print before leaving our production facility.

By using Direct To Garment and screen print transfer technology and eco-friendly inks, we help keep waste out of landfills and our oceans.

In total you should expect to receive your order in 7 - 10 days. If you need something for a special occasion, please allow two weeks in case there are any delays.

To cancel or change an order, you must let us know within 12 hours of when your order was placed. We will do our best but after this period and once production begins we can no longer cancel or change the order. 

If you would like to return your items for any reason you may do so for store credit within 7 days of when your order was received. Please check out our returns and exchange policy.

Typically we only accept returns for store credit however we want to make sure you are 100% happy with your order. If you receive an item that is damaged or defective please let us know and we will be happy to get you a replacement.
